What is Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST)?

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) is a light touch form of therapy that has roots originating in Osteopathy.

Treatment is focussed on supporting the health of the whole being, especially the nervous system. The nervous system governs the functioning of the body. Bringing the nervous back into balance and into less activated state allows for the body to settle into deeper healing, allowing for the tissues to soften.

When we are in utero we can imagine our body as a blank sheet, during our birth, childhood and life we are faced with trauma Our body holds onto this trauma in its tissues and fluids, these create knots within the blank sheet and become holdings within the body. Overtime these holdings may manifest in various ways including pain and discomfort.

Trauma is defined as as "something that overwhelms our own capacity", it doesn't need to be a big event or accident but is unique to each and every person. We don't need to delve into what is the trauma as that is not necessary, we can hold space and the body has its own natural ability to heal itself.

There are many reasons to have a Biodynamic Craniosacral Session (BCST), even if you are in optimal health and not presenting any symptoms, the session can enhance your nervous system as well as your immune function.
